Today, rising East London R&B artist kwn (pronounced kay-wuhn) releases her anticipated EP with all due respect via RCA Records. kwn’s new 9-track EP is a body of work that feels both nostalgic and undeniably current. Driven by kwn’s signature soulful vocals, lyricism, and production, each track is carefully crafted, built on live instrumentation and lyrics that are honest and vulnerable. Featuring breakout R&B girl group FLO and Kehlani, the project showcases a new generation of R&B voices who are elevating the genre. Through her latest project, kwn marks a bold return to the heart of R&B, painting with a rich, emotional palette, from late-night confessions to seductive love ballads, all built on rhythm and soul.
Alongside releasing her EP, kwn also unveiled the sultry visuals for her new track “back of the club”. The music video was directed by Chris Chance and shot in London. Set deep in the shadows of a dimly lit nightclub, the music video draws viewers into a hypnotic journey across the dancefloor – with moody lighting, fluid choreography, and an irresistible energy where every move is driven by pure passion. With nearly over 100 million global streams worldwide, this release reaffirms kwn’s place as one of the most exciting voices in the R&B space – bold, authentic, and constantly evolving. Recently, kwn was nominated for her first-ever BET Award for “Best New International Act.”
On the release, kwn says: “This project is me setting a foundation for myself in R&B. I’ve done a few great features this past year and now I want people to start taking me in for who I am as an artist. I feel a lot of people had previously been sleeping on me & doubting me. With all due respect, they should have never done that. Bow!”
